AS A GOVERNMENT

The Alliance welcomes expressions of interest from countries wishing to host an Alliance project, with priority going to developing countries and least developed countries.

Clear indications are sought from interested host country governments on their commitment to trade facilitation reform and meaningful cooperation with the private sector, as well as clear expressions of interest from a wide range of local private sector stakeholders.

Selection criteria include alignment with other trade facilitation programs and the ability of the private sector to provide meaningful project support.

Performance on trade facilitation indicators are also considered to determine priorities for reform, including how and where to deliver the greatest growth and development impact – nationally or regionally.

AS A BUSINESS

Companies and private sector organizations that are engaged in international trade and believe that they can contribute to the Alliance’s objectives of implementing reforms, measuring impact and developing best practices are invited to join the Alliance Network.

The Alliance’s network of businesses and private sector organizations contribute to the Alliance’s objectives by providing technical expertise and assistance in support of Alliance projects on the ground (link to our projects page).

International businesses interested in a larger role shaping the Alliance agenda should consider becoming an Alliance Partner. Alliance Partners substantially contribute to the Alliance’s goals – either in-kind or financially. Alliance Partners are eligible to:

  • Sit on the Alliance’s Steering Group
  • Champion in-country projects
  • Lead working groups

Alliance Members participate in and contribute to specific activities of the Alliance.

To help foster engagement and leverage Alliance Partners and Members extensive knowledge, expertise and resources, the Alliance presently has two working groups:

  1. The Global Pipeline Working Group aims to identify private sector champions for country-level projects, share global best practices, provide input on project country identification and project development, and contribute its expertise in support of in-country projects through its global and in-country networks and contacts.
  2. The Metrics Working Group aims to optimize the use of data and analytics at project level and develop benchmarks to measure and track the impact of trade facilitation reforms.

Companies interested in joining the Alliance can contact info@tradefacilitation.org.

AS A DONOR

The Alliance donors from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Germany, invite other governments to join them in financially supporting the Alliance in its mission to facilitate trade, create new economic opportunities and contribute to sustainable development.

The Alliance also welcomes financial contributions from its private sector partners.

Governments or private sector companies interested in supporting the Alliance can contact info@tradefacilitation.org.
