The Alliance is pleased to welcome Decathlon as its latest private sector partner, further strengthening the network of international companies supporting the Alliance’s trade facilitation work.

Headquartered in Lille, Decathlon is one of the world’s leading sporting goods retailers and manufacturers. The company operates in 79 territories globally through both factories and retail stores, including many countries where the Alliance has conducted projects, such as Bangladesh, Colombia, Ghana, Tunisia, and Vietnam.

With a portfolio of over 20,000 product types and highly complex supply chains, Decathlon is deeply embedded in global trade flows and brings valuable operational expertise and first-hand experience navigating cross-border trade challenges.

“With a globally integrated distribution network, we experience first-hand the challenges and opportunities of cross-border trade.” Says Alexandra Vitard, Global Head of Public Affairs at Decathlon. “By joining the Alliance, we look forward to sharing our operational experience and collaborating with governments and peers to help remove trade barriers that impact businesses – particularly in developing and least developed countries.”

Global business partners like Decathlon play a central role in the Alliance’s public-private partnership model, bringing essential expertise and best practices.

Decathlon will be a part of the Alliance’s Textiles & Retail Sub-Group, a platform where private sector members share experiences, identify common trade barriers, and help define collective priorities for that particular sector.

By joining the Alliance, Decathlon reinforces its commitment to fostering more efficient, transparent, and predictable trade environments — particularly benefitting MSMEs, disadvantaged business operators and economies of least developed and developing countries.

“We are delighted to welcome Decathlon to our growing network of private sector partners,” said Philippe Isler, Executive Director at the Alliance. “Their global footprint, particularly across Asia and Latin America, and their deep expertise in complex supply chains will bring important insights to our work in the textiles and retail sectors.”

Through this partnership, the Alliance and Decathlon will work together to advance trade facilitation reforms that support sustainable growth, strengthen supply chains, and create shared value for developing countries and the businesses that trade with them.
